OPERATION PRINCIPLE OF SMOKE GENERATOR

First, when you plug in the power, turn on the switch, the electricity will go straight to the combustion chamber, causing the combustion chamber to heat up, when it reaches a certain temperature, it will notify the electric thermal relay into the combustion chamber and notify the controller to make the button light up. .

Next, the solution from the container is pumped and pushed into the hot block. At the heater, the solution is boiled to a temperature of about 230°C (the solution completely vaporizes at this temperature). When 230°C is reached, the sensor head will notify the control circuit and stop heating. At this time, the pump part of the machine will increase the pressure and push out the smoke in the hot block.

Smoke machines of different capacities will be equipped with different pumps and heaters. The bigger the heater, the more smoke will come out, and the big or small pump will affect the spray range, the strong and weak ejection of the machine.

HOW TO FIX THE ERROR OF THE STAGE SMOKE GENERATOR

For errors on smoke machines, We need to judge the cause in every small detail to easily partition the fault. From there, find a way to handle it faster

1. For power failure to enter power

Shown by turning on the switch does not see the switch light on, the machine does not heat up. We check the power cord and then check the fuse. The fuse is located right in the power switch, just unscrew it to see it. When the fuse is burned, you can check the internal fire condition and then replace the new fuse. For conventional smoke machines, without using the control board, the test is very simple. For DMX smoke machines, it is necessary to check the control board.

2. The combustion chamber is not hot

Check the 220V line from the source to the combustion chamber. Measure this source at the 2 pins of the combustion chamber, if there is still voltage, the combustion chamber has been burned. We need a new combustion chamber.

3. Combustion chamber is hot but smoke does not come out

Check the smoke pump to see if it is still usable (Seperate 220v power supply for the pump, need to remove the smoke oil suction pipe.) If the pump still works, check the temperature sensor. Or for dmx smoke machines, check the control board as well

4. Press the control button but smoke does not come out

Remote or manual control is broken, 3-pin hand control plug is broken inside (for pump and combustion chamber with relay tested, no problem)

5. Small amount of smoke, spraying water

Blocked combustion chamber will lead to little smoke, the combustion chamber is not heated enough to not heat the smoke oil, resulting in water spray. In case the combustion chamber is not hot enough but the pump is still working, check the relay to see if it burns

6. Pump is loud

Pump occlusion, combustion chamber occlusion, pump holding foot dropped.

7. Long combustion chamber heating time

The combustion chamber is broken, it needs to be replaced

8. Unable to control the smoke machine through the dmx . console

Damaged DMX signal line, damaged controller board or damaged DMX address set on the back of the smoke machine.

SOME NOTES WHEN USING A SMOKE GENERATOR

The smoke-forming solution has no odor, but if left for a long time, there will be chemical residues, under high temperature, it will burn, producing aldehydes with a burning smell. So we should:

Clean the smoke generator periodically.

Do not start the device for too long before spraying smoke, about 5 to 10 minutes is medium, when not continuous use, turn off the smoke sprayer.
