"Princess Anio" – A Special Art Opera

THE OPERA "PRINCESS ANIO" – A HISTORICAL LOVE SYMBOLIZING THE VIETNAMESE-JAPANESE FRIENDSHIP

In 2023, the opera "Princess Anio"—a special art project commemorating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations, co-produced by the "Princess Anio" Organizing Committee and the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra—made a profound impression on audiences in both countries when performed in Vietnam and Japan.

"Princess Anio" is based on a true story from the history of Vietnam-Japan trade relations from around the early 17th century, revolving around the love story between a Vietnamese princess and a Japanese merchant. Having completed its 50th anniversary and looking forward to 100 years of Vietnam-Japan friendship, the management of "Princess Anio" and the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra have decided to modernize the opera in the form of a musical drama.

WHERE IS THE "ANIO PRINCESS" PERFORMANCE TAKING PLACE?

To meet audience expectations, the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra, together with the project management team of the opera "Princess Anio," is organizing a special musical storytelling tour of the opera "Princess Anio" in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City this July. Details are as follows:

- In Ho Chi Minh City: July 17, 2024 (Wednesday) at the Concert Hall of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music (112 Nguyen Du Street, Ben Thanh Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City)
